The EEM 2008 Reference Guide is arranged in two Volumes according to eight product Families. These Families open into 35 unique Sections containing related products. Each Family is divided by pull-out tabs and details its own Product, Manufacturers, and Product Information Page Indexes, listing only companies that are relevant to that Family. Product information data pages are illustrated from select manufacturers.
The Product Index (green section) is a comprehensive listing of thousands of categories and the manufacturers that make those products. The companies are listed with their website address. Complete company information is available in the Manufacturer Index. All sponsors with Product Information Pages within that Family are bold-faced with a page number cross-reference. All product categories can be searched for at EEM.com. To locate manufacturers by products, type the product description in the SEARCH box on the left-hand navigation bar.
The Manufacturers Index (yellow section) is a comprehensive alphabetical listing of all related manufacturers in that Family. Company details include address, contact information and web address, with Product Information Page references displayed for advertisers. Manufacturers can be searched for at EEM.com by clicking on the "Search Manufacturers By Name" link. Simply type in the manufacturers name and click "GO".
The Product Information Page Index (white section) consists of a sponsored company's specific detailed product data. The Product Information Pages that are supplied originate from companies that are either the manufacturer or the brand owner of the product. The categories that appear on the Product Information Page are relevant to the product Family and Section. All Product Information Pages appearing in print can be found online at EEM.com, and search results for products or manufacturers display a product information icon. The 2008 EEM Data Page Guidelines must be adhered to for all sponsors.
The Distributor Index (blue section), towards the end of each volume, is an alphabetical listing of all distributors and their associated product families. Details included are address, contact information, web address and EEM product family associations. The directory contains the same information in both volumes. EEM.com provides a component inventory search from franchised distributors of the manufacturer, and you can search by entering the "Component Manufacturer Part #" directly from the navigation bar.
The Reference Design Directory appears at the end of each volume. This directory features a sampling of almost 1,200 reference designs - both physical hardware and software (IP) designs from over 100 semiconductor manufacturers. Follow the "Download" URL at EEM.com or ElectronicProducts.com for designs by application, manufacturer, function, or end market. Search results include descriptions of each design and direct links to the reference design datasheets, or to manufacturer pages describing the reference designs. The directory contains the same information in both volumes.
